Chec Family Resource Center

In 1998, in a better service to the people of San Juan Capistrano and its neighboring communities, the Community Health Enrichment Collaborative Family Resource Center (CHEC FRC) was opened. They aim to bring together services and activities which provide families with education, support, and resources.

The CHCE FRC is a joint effort between the Mission Hospital, the City of San Juan Capistrano, Orange County Social Services Agency, The Raise Foundation, and Mission Basilica.

Family Practice Doctors:

• Olina E. Harwer, MD
  Dr. Harwer specializes in Family Medicine. She graduated from King Charles University and practiced her internship and residency at Western Medical Center, Santa Ana, CA.  She’s bilingual and can speak the Spanish language for her patients who find it hard to express in English.Dr. Harwer finds family practice medicine to be challenging yet fulfilling. She shares a deep connection with her patients; that’s why they have a high level of trust with her.
• Lizander Pandy, MD
  Dr. Pandy is a family medicine doctor who serves the people of San Juan Capistrano. He earned his medical degree at Western University and served his residency days at Chino Valley Medical Center. Dr. Pandy has one thing that he always says to himself for all his patients, and that’s to treat every patient as a whole.
• James H. Ashizawa, MD
  Dr. Ashizawa finds his profession to be rewarding because of his connection with his patients. Family medicine has made him build friendships with his family, too. Aside from being a doctor, Dr. Ashizawa actively participates in church activities.
• Ralf V. Reuland, MD
  Dr. Reuland can speak German for his German-speaking patients. He’s a family practice doctor who has extensive experience with various health problems. Dr. Reuland graduated at the Wright State University – School of Medicine in Dayton, Ohio.
