The Mission San Juan Capistrano is known as the “jewel” of the missions in the Orange County. The place was established between 1769 and 1833 as a way to spread the Catholic faith and colonize what is now Southern California.

Its grounds are so beautiful that your kids will surely love exploring all day long. This place is filled with a massive garden and plenty of running places for your kids. There’s also a koi fountain where your kids may enjoy.

Your kids and even you can see loads of flitting butterflies, bees and hummingbirds around too. You can also see the famed swallows of the Mission around March to April after their migration from South America.

Your kids may not only enjoy the scenery, but they can also learn new things inside the Mission. They’ll surely have fun finding all audio stations scattered inside the area and listen to the commentary about the mission’s history, its role in the town and how it contributes to California’s history.
